Drops New Afro-Pop Anthem 'Feel It' – A Fusion of Global Sounds
Afro-pop sensation Le She is back with his newest single, "Feel It," a vibrant track that merges his African roots with a sophisticated global sound. After living in cities across the world, including Paris, Sydney, and now Perth, Le She has honed a style that reflects both his personal journey and his diverse musical influences. "Feel It" is a celebration of life’s moments, set to infectious Afro-pop beats, delicate classical instrumentation, and lyrics that speak to connection and joy. As Le She continues to carve out his niche, this latest release shows he's only just beginning.
Afro-pop artist Le She, born Stephane Keita, has made a mark on the global music scene with his latest single, "Feel It." Originally from Paris and now calling Perth home, Le She has traveled far and wide, living in cities like Sydney, Melbourne, and the Gold Coast before settling on Australia’s west coast. It’s here that he’s found not only a vibrant African community but also a music scene that resonates with his Afro-pop and Amapiano influences. “The sound here is different. In Sydney, it’s more rock and R&B, but in Perth, Afro-pop and Amapiano are alive. It feels like home,” Le She says.
“Feel It” embodies Le She’s signature blend of Afro-pop, seamlessly fusing traditional African rhythms with contemporary global sounds. Known for his ability to sing in multiple languages, including English, French, Creole, and African dialects, Le She chooses his lyrics based on how each language fits the emotions he’s trying to convey. “The words come first, and then I find the right sound,” he explains. His process is deeply collaborative, with artists from Nigeria, Jamaica, and the UK contributing to his diverse musical projects, depending on the genre he’s exploring.
With “Feel It,” Le She stays true to his Afro-pop roots while incorporating classical instruments like the piano and flute into the production, giving his sound a fresh, sophisticated edge. The track, which is all about letting go and embracing life’s moments, is meant to resonate with those who’ve grown out of the club scene but still crave meaningful, feel-good music. “You don’t have to be in a club to enjoy good music,” Le She says. “You can listen, relax, and still have fun without the party.”
His new single, "Feel It," captures this ethos perfectly, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in the rhythm and groove, whether at home, on a drive, or simply enjoying the evening. The accompanying music video, set in both Nigeria and Perth, visually mirrors the cross-cultural journey of the song, with scenes that celebrate both urban African life and the laid-back atmosphere of Perth.
For Le She, music is more than just entertainment; it's a way to channel personal emotion. His lyrics often dive into romantic and introspective themes, something that began as a form of self-expression when he was younger. “In my culture, we weren’t encouraged to talk about feelings, so music became my outlet,” Le She shares. Now, as an established artist, he continues to use songwriting as therapy, turning feelings of isolation and longing into something beautiful.
His relocation to Perth, a place where connection and community are key, reflects Le She’s search for balance in both his personal life and career. “Perth feels like a small town where people know each other. It’s slower here, but that’s what I need to grow roots and focus on my music,” he says.
Looking ahead, Le She is working on more music and visuals, with a wealth of unreleased material ready to share. His next project promises to expand on the global fusion of sounds he’s known for, collaborating once again with international artists and filming in locations that span continents. With "Feel It," Le She is just getting started, and there’s much more to come.
