King Gizzard and WAH-WAH

Go Psychedelic for Their Third Knitwear Collaboration

Australian cult knitwear label WAH-WAH has teamed up with King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard for a third time, creating what might be their most psychedelic collaboration yet.

The new WAH-WAH x King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard III jumper transforms artwork by renowned poster artist Amy Jean, drawn from the band’s 2025 US tour designs, into an intricately knitted wearable artwork. Combining imagery from the Colorado and San Diego posters, the result is a maximalist explosion of creatures, colour and surreal detail.

For WAH-WAH founder and creative director Kaylene Milner, the collaboration is the latest chapter in a relationship that began almost a decade ago.

“Third time around, I wanted the jumper to feel connected to everything that came before without simply repeating it,” says Milner. “Amy’s work gave us that opportunity. It is dense, strange, surreal and full of tiny discoveries — exactly the sort of artwork I most enjoy exploring through the medium of knitwear.”

Knitted from 100% RWS-certified Australian superfine merino wool, the unisex jumper turns King Gizzard’s distinctive visual universe into something tactile, collectible and designed to last. Priced at AUD $310, it is available exclusively via pre-order until 23 August, with shipping expected in November.

There’s a meaningful element behind the project too, with King Gizzard donating all royalties from the release to Our Watch, supporting the organisation’s work to prevent violence against women and children.

For fans of King Gizzard, psychedelic art and seriously adventurous knitwear, this is one collaboration worth getting your hands on.
